I am Dug.

​

I have a Bachelor of Fine Art with a concentration in Drawing.

I create illustrations because it is fun, enriching, and I have a gift for designing the reader’s initial “visual bookmark”--the imprinted image they associate with the book.

When you recall a book, the first thing you remember will be my images and the second thing will be the words.

I am artistically adaptable to the style my authors desire. 

I create the picture that is worth a thousand words.

I draw elaborate images that arise when I’m daydreaming and have a completely blank mind.

These pictures range from strange, dark, and detailed all the way to simple, bright, and vibrant.

I manipulate my artwork by bending, twisting, and shoving them together with figures emoting through subtle actions.

My art is highly detailed with intricacies hidden in the nooks and crannies that tell a story.

My robust illustrations leave the viewer to make of it what they want by allowing them to generate their own story unhindered by my explanation.
